I wrote this help center to show how I turn customer questions into clear, easy-to-follow guidance. These are the standards I followed for every article:
- Written from the customer's view. Each title is the question or goal a customer would actually have.
- Plain language. Short sentences and everyday words, with no internal jargon.
- One task per article. Each article answers one question, with no more than seven numbered steps.
- Consistent terms. The same menu names and the same words (sign in, Contact CloudDesk Support) are used across all nine articles.
- A way forward. Every article explains what to try if the steps don't work, and what to include when contacting support so the problem is solved faster.
- Safety reminders. Articles that involve passwords or payments remind customers that support will never ask for their password or full card details.
- Honest expectations. Where a team has to review something, such as a duplicate charge, the article explains what happens next without promising refund timelines that haven't been confirmed.
If this were a live help center, my next step would be to look at which articles customers open before contacting support and which topics keep appearing in tickets, then improve those articles first.
